Dear Jack & Mary,
We just wanted to thank you for our lovely September holiday at Buda. Your generosity
and local knowledge added to the beautiful home you have, and was greatly appreciated.
We had the rest we needed! The oil travelled safely, and I've enjoying using
Mary's ceramics. They have been greatly admired.
Regards and grateful thanks,

Jack was the perfect host in every respect. His recommendations were absolutely spot on,
especially the meal at Cibocchi where we sampled real Umbrian cooking at it's best.

Dear Mary & Jack,
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay: just as last year. We have seen wonderful
art, have eaten far too much (no clothing fits!) and have read good books for a change.
Take care and many, many thanks. We're seriously thinking about a return next
summer!
with love, John & Sally
*note: John & Sally have rebooked Baby Buda for their 3rd season 07....look
forward to having you again John and Sally!

Thank you so much for an idyllic week at Baby Buda. It was a perfect chill out
week and exactly what we wanted after the instensive sight seeing in Rome and
Florence. A perfect base to experience real Italian life! We look forward to our
return.

An ideal peaceful location to relax and enjoy the beauty of Umbria. Despite being August
we found crowds only in Asissi, arrive early to find parking! For something different the Marmore
Waterfall south of Terni is truly spectacular when the water is 'switched one"....truly spectacular
and every wet on Lover's Balcony. Thank you Jack and Mary for the two weeks away from the
daily commute.

Buda: such a delightful place to be! The apartment is airy and comfortable and the pool and
gardens tranquil and beautiful. Thank you Jack and Mary for accommodating our ever
expanding family...it was great to be with them in such a lovely setting.

Finally saw the beauty of this amazing location, (pitch black when we arrived last night!)
Morning by the pool, lazy lunch at trattoria near Marsciano, swimming, vegetables from
the garden, wine on the terrace, holiday begins!
Thanks for the terrific week at Buda Due, If you think it looks good in the website photos
you won't be disappointed...it's 'better in the flesh'! The setting is perfect and the pool
glorious.....a highlight was Mary's tip to go to the local village 'cook-out' and
football tournament where we sat with the locals, ate pasta and steak outdoors and drank
far too much rosso! Our one year old daughter Eve, adored it....every place we went
she was whisked off by the locals, they love the bambinos here, and Buda Due is very
childfriendly. Hope to return!

Thanks for a fantastic week and all the tips on the surrounding area... loved all the restaurants and the beautiful scenery... it's going to be very hard going back to London! Look after Baby Buda for us!

What a beautiful place and what a great time we've had. Sublime hilltop towns, hair-raising ridge top drives, the manic streets and heat of Rome and the tranquility of the Buda pool (for the most part, and on most days, entirely to ourselves).
We delighted in picking vegetable from Mary's garden and watched fireflies dance from the balcony at night. Our best advice to those who follow is to follow the advise of Jack & Mary! The air-conditioned bus to Rome was perfect, the recommended restaurants in the guest guide that we tried spot on. Get yourselves to the summer festivals, don't miss the smallest theatre in the world and eat as much gelato as you canÉyou know you'll regret it if you don't when you get back home.
Thanks for everything Mary and Jack, we loved it!

A perfectly idyllic honeymoon location! True peace, tranquility and total relaxation. Great base for day tripping... highlights: Norcia and Piano Grande, Lake Trasimeno and Isola Polvese, sunsets over the hilltop towns. Breathtaking!

Buda is delightful...the children loved the pool and the pizza oven: we enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the stars. It's also perfectly placed for excursions to the seemingly endless number of hilltop towns. We particularly liked Montefalco, where we bought wonderful local produce and wine and had a lovely lunch at Coccorane (ristorante tipico).
Thanks to Jack and Mary for the help and congenial company Jessica and Jonathan, London, UK

Peaceful, beauty, grace and soul soothing. Is this some of the reasons for the "Buda"?
We truly enjoyed our stay here which included wonderful cooking and a myriad of weather types. Thank you and... we will tell all the story of Buda.

Great place for exploring Umbria... superb advice (eating places, traveling etc.) from Jack and Mary. Had great fun spotting shooting stars each night. Thanks for a lovely two weeks.

To Jack & Mary at Buda,
We have really enjoyed staying in your lovely apartment. Thank you for your recommendations. The food was excellent in all the places you suggested. May we add a couple of our own? Antica Cantina, Orvieto(a bit touristy but good food), Piccolo Mondo, St. Vito in Monte(a bit "The Shining" but great food and good news), Sabatini, Spoleto (quite smart).
Thank you also for the use of your great library, and your excellently equipped kitchen.
Sincerely,
Tim, Felicity and Wilfred Sheehan, Chef/Proprietor, Franklins Restaurant, 157 Cordship Lane, East Dulwich, London
